Alhamdulillah for the gift of another year of life. Ya Allah, I thank You for Your endless mercy, protection, and blessings upon me. As I mark my birthday today, I seek Your forgiveness for my past mistakes and Your guidance for the days ahead. Ya Rabb, bless me with good health, a sound mind, and a peaceful heart. Increase me in faith, wisdom, and gratitude. Make me a source of goodness to others, and let Your light shine through me in all that I do. Protect me from harm, envy, and anything that draws me away from You. Ya Allah, make this new year of my life one of growth, success, and divine favor. Allahumma barik li fi umri — O Allah, bless my life. AminLondon

Now that I’m 25 years old, I have had so many experiences now then I did when I was 18 years old. My mind was focused on partying, finally having my “independence”, and becoming a legal adult. Of course, as we grow we learn. So these are the thing I would tell my 18 year old self (and you guys)!
