Ba Jang
Bajang (or Bajang) is a type of Chinese bundle boiled rice made with oil and garnish stir fried sticky rice, packed with sweet savory fillings such as three ink pork, gunchiang, salted yolk, fragrant mushrooms, and dried shrimp, wrapped in bamboo leaves in a triangle shape and steamed or boiled until cooked. It is a popular dish to eat and use.
The distinctive characteristics of the basang
Flavors: Soft sticky rice, mellow flavors, spice aromas, pepper and bamboo leaves.
Spill filling: A side dish usually consisting of a muffled pig, pork belly, gunchiang, salted eggs, dried shrimp, peanuts and fragrant mushrooms.
Wai Bae Jang Festival
: Basang is important in the Tuen Jie Festival or the Dragon Boat Race Festival (corresponding to the 5th day of the 5th month of the lunar calendar).
