Becoming a certified nail technician is just the beginning of an exciting career. After you’ve completed your professional training and started to publish your work online, the next step is to diversify the content you share to attract and retain new clients. From my experience, experimenting with various nail art styles is crucial. Don’t hesitate to try popular trends like ombré, French tips, or even themed nail designs depending on the season or events. Sharing a mix of photo posts, reels, and stories keeps your Instagram feed dynamic and engaging. This variety not only showcases your skills but also reaches a broader audience who might be interested in different types of nail art. Practicing regularly by doing 20 to 30 nail sets helps you improve faster. Each set offers a new challenge and allows you to perfect your technique while building a portfolio of diverse styles that attract more clients. Also, tagging your clients and encouraging them to share your work creates organic growth through word of mouth and social media exposure. Don't overlook the power of business cards. Printing and distributing at least 200 cards to friends, family, and local salons can help spread the word about your services offline. Lastly, engaging with your audience by inviting them to comment or ask questions—like asking them to comment “FORMATION 💗” if they’re interested in training updates—builds community and shows that you are approachable and dedicated to your profession. Commit time and effort to these strategies, and you’ll see your nail tech career thrive as you expand your client base and grow your professional presence online and offline.
