Our home for nearly two months was at Dunleith Tourist Park at The Entrance
Our home for nearly two months was at Dunleith Tourist Park at The Entrance, while we worked in the area. We really enjoyed our time here — the park was clean, beautifully maintained and very welcoming. And we loved discovering that it even has its own museum! #DunleithTouristPark #golf573sa

Wow, look at this! The Goorambat silo art is seriously impressive!
The Barking Owl and magnificent Clydesdale horses look almost real — especially when you see them up close. These amazing murals were created by Jimmy DVate, and what an incredible job he’s done! #Goorambat #Goorambatsiloart #BarkingOwl #Clydesdalehorses

Sofala Nsw, Gold anyone?
Sofala, Australia's oldest surviving gold mining town—and it's like stepping back in time! While only the pub, café, and general store are still open, the town is full of character and rich history. We grabbed a meal at the pub (highly recommend—it was delicious!), wandered the historic

Now this was fun....
The legendary Bridle Track—one of NSW's most iconic 4WD adventures! This rugged 50-kilometre track between Bathurst and Hill End is packed with steep climbs, rocky sections, incredible views, and the famous Root Hog Crossing. Following the beautiful Turon River, there are plenty of spots to st

we dont always take the caravan out, we tent ot too.....
This time around, we swapped the caravan behind and took our trusty tent instead. Our destination? Lake Wallace, an awesome free campground only 15 minutes from Lithgow—and honestly, it's a hidden gem. With beautiful waterfront camping, loads of grassy space, public toilets and showers, p

Australias 1st cement factory - Portland
Some places make you stop, look up, and simply take it all in—and the Portland Cement Works Silos are one of those places. Towering above the town, these breathtaking murals by Guido van Helten celebrate the workers whose dedication built an industry and a community. Every weathered face tells a

As we left the Snowy Mountains, we thought we'd take a shortcut, oh boy wrong...
As we left the Snowy Mountains, we thought we'd save a bit of time by taking the shortcut to Canberra… and wow, what an adventure that turned into! The route was packed with dusty dirt roads, steep descents, and some pretty challenging climbs. Towing the caravan definitely added an extra lev

we were stalked by a dingo....
We stayed at Yarrangobilly Village Campground, run by NSW National Parks. Camping itself is free—you just pay a small booking fee, making it an awesome budget-friendly spot to base yourself. Nestled along the banks of the beautiful, meandering Yarrangobilly River, this place is pure serenity. Th

Tumut NSW - the river here is soooo cold...
Nestled beneath the Snowy Mountains, Tumut is the kind of riverside town that instantly makes you slow down and relax. Surrounded by nature, it’s peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. We thought about going for a swim in the Tumut River… but one touch of the water and nope — absolutely freezing! The

Ever heard of Talbingo? Most people haven’t — located in the Snowy Mountains....
Ever heard of Talbingo? Most people haven’t — but this tiny Snowy Mountains town with a population of just around 250 is seriously underrated. Talbingo Dam is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear water stretching for around 24 kilometres and depths reaching over 150 metres. It’s a dream spot for

A hidden Thermal Pool in Kosciuszko National Park.
Hidden in the Yarrangobilly area of northern Kosciuszko National Park, this spring-fed thermal pool is an absolute gem! There’s a short but steep 700m walk down from the car park, but trust me, it’s totally worth it. The water sits at around 27 degrees year-round… although it definitely felt a litt

What a hole....
We explored the incredible South Glory Cave at Yarrangobilly with a self-guided tour, and honestly, it was one of the highlights of our trip through northern Kosciuszko National Park. It’s the largest cave in the Yarrangobilly system and absolutely packed with amazing formations — delicate straws,

Long Plain Hut Campground - Snowy Mountains memories.
The hut was in great condition and painted pink — definitely a bonus! Summer here was seriously hot, so finding a cool little swimming spot near Port Phillip Fire Trail was an absolute lifesaver. But nothing topped watching a herd of brumbies stroll past camp at sunset while the cockatoos and magpi

Snowy Mountains and their beutiful walking tracks.
The Snowy Mountains are packed with incredible walking tracks, but Pallaibo Walking Track was easily our favourite. We headed off on a short hike, cooled down in the crystal-clear river afterwards, then wrapped up the day with a BBQ by the water. Such a perfect way to spend the afternoon! #Snow

Perisher - A ghost town during off season...
Perisher out of season feels like stepping into another world. No crowds, no chaos, just empty streets and ghost town vibes everywhere. There wasn’t heaps to do, but it was still pretty cool exploring such a different side of the place. #Perisher #SnowyMountains
