Many surgical tech students feel overwhelmed by the amount of information they have to learn and the intricacies of their new roles. The key to success lies in perseverance and resilience. Don’t shy away from seeking help from instructors and fellow students. Forming study groups can also be beneficial as you can share experiences and learn from each other. In addition, developing good time management skills will aid you in balancing your studies and practical training effectively. Building confidence in the operating room takes time as you learn various procedures and protocols. Remember to celebrate small successes along the way, whether it’s mastering a new tool or understanding a complex concept. Keeping a journal of your progress can be beneficial for reflection and motivation. Always remind yourself that even significant achievements require time and sustained effort, just as Rome wasn't built in a day.
