this is NOT about “bouncing back,” perfection, or trying to shrink myself into someone else’s version of healthy.
I’m in my 30s, I’m postpartum, I’m a working mum, and we’re not done growing our family yet.
this chapter deserves more intention than survival mode.
so I’m working on optimizing my health: my strength, cycle, my PCOS/PMOS & metabolic health, both my and my husbands mental health, my energy, and my relationship with my body, before the next chapter asks even more of me.
NOT because my body failed me.
because my body has carried me through a lot
if you’re somewhere between motherhood, fertility health, fitness, cycle tracking, plus size wellness, neurospicy mum life, and figuring out who you are in this season, hi. I think we’re supposed to find each other.

Navigating postpartum life while managing PCOS and fertility health can feel overwhelming, but it’s important to acknowledge the strength it takes to rebuild before the next chapter. I’ve personally found that focusing on intention rather than perfection transformed my approach to wellness. Instead of trying to “bounce back” to a previous state, I concentrated on honoring my body’s journey—recognizing it as the foundation for my family and myself. Cycle tracking became a crucial part of my routine, helping me understand my body's natural rhythms and adapt my exercise and nutrition accordingly. Embracing plus-size wellness empowered me to find fitness methods that felt sustainable and kind rather than punishing. I also made space for mental health, realizing that both my and my partner’s emotional wellbeing profoundly impact our family’s health. For working mums juggling career and motherhood, building in recovery and self-care doesn’t just improve physical health but also boosts energy and resilience. Using tools like mindful movement and tailored strength training supported my metabolic health, which is often affected by PCOS. Mental health practices like meditation and open communication with my partner were equally vital. This journey is unique for every mum, but connecting with others navigating similar paths, especially in communities focused on #PCOSJourney, #FitnessMom, and #PlusSizeWellness, can offer encouragement and practical advice. The key takeaway is to treat each stage of motherhood not as a hurdle to overcome but as a chapter that deserves intention, care, and respect for how much we and our bodies have endured.
