Dust mite allergy - tips on cleaning the bed?
I've known I am allergic to dust mites for several years but I've only started experiencing the symptoms a few months ago.
I'm thinking of buying one of those hypoallergenic bed covers but I don't think that would help a lot if the bed underneath it is still covered in mites. I vacuum it every week and wash my sheets at high temperature but of course that's not enough. I live in a rented apartment, the bed is not mine (may very well be the reason I am having symptoms now after all this time) and there's no way my landlord would replace it - I can't get rid of it unfortunately. It's not a typical wood frame mattress kind of thing, it's one of those storage beds.
Do you have any suggestions on how to clean the bed to relieve my dust mite allergy symptoms?
