Should I cave to his Christmas stay request?
My brother has two fully healthy legs, no medical reason for what I’m about to say. But he carries a prosthetic leg everywhere. Like, a creepy as hell prosthetic that he lugs around like a backpack. I have zero clue where he got it and honestly I don’t want to know. It’s giving major mental health red flags but he won’t talk about it.
He asked to stay with me for Christmas instead of our parents (who still baby him like he’s 10). I said yes on one condition: Leave the prosthetic at home. He begged and said he’d hide it in his luggage. But I warned him if I see it out of the bag, I’m destroying it. He bailed and went to our parents’ then called again begging to stay.
My new offer? We drop the prosthetic in a storage unit (I keep the key) until he leaves. He refused. Now he’s calling me a b****, but who carries a random prosthetic for no reason? He needs therapy, meds, a pet, something, just not that GD leg in my house. He has 2 healthy legs so why carry a creepy prosthetic everywhere?
