Here’s everything I did in just one hour 👇
🌸 Arrived to the most beautiful waterfront — lush gardens, a heritage marina, flower-lined boardwalks and boats gently rocking in the water. The Union Steamship Marina is named after the company that made Bowen Island a legendary resort destination all the way back in the 1920s
🦢 Walked to the beach, sat down, and watched baby geese right by the water. Spring on Bowen Island is something else
🛍️ Explored the local gift shop — handcrafted goods and unique island finds you won’t see anywhere else
🍦 Grabbed ice cream at the Union Steamship Company Marina — because obviously
🎨 Discovered the Snug Cove Gateway Mural — a breathtaking community artwork created in 2022 by three local artists, inspired by 125+ suggestions from Bowen Islanders. It features Pacific Northwest wildlife and over a century of island history painted across an entire wall.

Plus, the ferry ride from Horseshoe Bay is a quick, scenic 20 minutes, making the island an ideal day trip for those visiting Vancouver.
