McDonald’s at Home: The Big Mac
Burger Ingredients:
Buns: 3-layer sesame seed (or without) bun (Top, Bottom, and a 2nd bottom for the middle layer)
Beef: 2 thin beef patties, 73% or 80% (salt and pepper)
Toppings: Shredded iceberg lettuce, American cheese, finely diced white onion, dill pickle slices.
Big Mac Secret Sauce:
1 cup Mayonnaise
1/4 cup Sweet Pickle Relish (drained)
2 tbsp Yellow Mustard
1 tsp White Vinegar
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Garlic Powder
1 1/4 tsp Paprika
1/8 tsp White Pepper
Mix and let sit in fridge.
Make smash patties:
1. Roll your ground beef into balls.
2. With a skillet on medium heat, place the rolled ground beef balls on the skillet, a square of parchment on top, and smash the patties down thin with a pot. Season and salt and pepper on both sides.
Assembly
1. Toast

2. Layer 1 (1st bottom bun Sauce, onion, lettuce, cheese, patty.
4. Layer 2 (Middle): 2nd bottom bun, Sauce, onion, lettuce, pickles, patty.
5. Layer 3 (Top): Bun.
