Things to do in Taipei, Taiwan in November 🍁🍂

2025/10/25 Edited to

... Read moreI absolutely adore Taipei in November! From my personal experiences, it’s truly one of the best times to visit. The weather strikes a perfect balance – cool, crisp, and comfortable enough for exploring, without the intense heat and humidity of summer. Plus, you often miss the peak crowds, making for a more relaxed trip. If you 'HAVE AN UPCOMING TRIP', here's how I usually 'PLAN' mine to make the most of it. One of my favorite things to do is dive into the vibrant night market scene. Imagine strolling through Shilin or Raohe, the air thick with delicious aromas. For just 'Price: $5-10', you can feast on an incredible variety of street food – think crispy fried chicken, oyster omelets, and bubble tea. It’s a sensory overload in the best possible way, and a truly authentic Taipei experience. I always make sure to budget around '$25-100+' for a full evening of eating and perhaps some unique souvenirs. Beyond the food, Taipei offers a rich tapestry of culture and nature. I love spending an afternoon at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall or exploring the intricate beauty of Longshan Temple. These iconic landmarks are usually free to enter, though some special exhibitions might have a small fee, typically in the '$5-10' range. For a breath of fresh air, a hike up Elephant Mountain (Xiangshan) is a must-do, especially around sunset. The panoramic views of the city, with Taipei 101 glittering, are simply breathtaking. And if you're looking for something more relaxing, a day trip to Beitou for its soothing hot springs is fantastic. A private hot spring bath can range from '$52-150+', but there are also public options that are much more affordable. November also brings with it a unique atmosphere. I've noticed that sometimes local events or art exhibitions begin around 'Date: November 2nd', or even larger seasonal celebrations from 'Dates: November 14 - December 28', such as early Christmas markets or special cultural performances. It’s always worth checking local event listings closer to your travel dates. When it comes to getting around, Taipei’s MRT system is incredibly efficient and easy to navigate. I usually grab an EasyCard upon arrival, which makes hopping on and off trains and buses super convenient. For accommodations, I've found everything from budget-friendly hostels to luxurious hotels, so there’s something for every price range. And finally, don't forget to explore beyond the city limits! A day trip to Jiufen Old Street, with its charming tea houses and stunning ocean views, feels like stepping into a Studio Ghibli film. Or, if you're planning a longer adventure, Taipei can be a fantastic springboard. I often combine my Taiwan trips with a visit to somewhere like 'Hong Kong, China' – it's surprisingly easy to hop on a short flight and explore another incredible city in Asia. Planning ahead for these multi-destination trips can really help 'BOOK TRIPS' efficiently. Taipei in November truly has something for everyone. It's a city 'THAT IS SCATTERED AND FLAVORFUL AND' always surprises you with its warmth, hospitality, and endless things to discover.
