Ingredients (Pastry):

1 Package (2 rolls) Phyllo Dough

2 Cups Unsalted Pistachio (Ground)

2 Teaspoon Cinnamon

1 1/3 Cup Unsalted Butter (Melted)

Honey Syrup:

1 Cup Honey

1 1/3 Cup Water

1 Teaspoon Vanilla

1 Cup Grandulated Sugar

2 Tablespoon Lemon Juice

- Preheat over to 350F.

-Grease a 9x13 inch pan with butter.

-Wrap your thawed phyllo dough in damp cloth.

-In a food processor, blend the pistachio and cinnamon until fine. Set aside.

-Layer 7 sheets of phyllo dough in the the pan, adding butter to each sheet.

-Sprinkle some of the nuts on the 7th layer, then add 5 more layers, repeating the process until you are out of dough.

-Brush the tops with butter then diamond cut the dough using a sharp knife.

-Bake for 1 hour or until baklava is golden brown.

-For the syrup, mix all of the ingredients in a medium sauce pan and simmer for 10 minutes. Let cool.

-Pour cooled syrup over the hot baklava and let sit for 4 hours.
