Misleading emoji "💦"
Actually, I found out yesterday
I usually act with foreigners, but basically text (message) exchange with foreigners is only text.
I didn't use emojis because I knew that foreigners don't use them much.
Yesterday, a kid in his 20s came to America and asked me a question.
Japanese people often use 💦 emoji, but what does it mean?
I said, "What? If you don't understand well
"Actually, this is an emoji that Japanese people often send, but the meaning is completely different"
So, when I told him that I often use this when I'm in a hurry or panicking, he was very convinced.
When I tried to check with AI, they said they deleted one because it was not good.
It's a commonly used and understandable emoji among Japanese people, but
Be careful when using it with foreigners!
(Emoji originated in Japan, but now it is registered with the Unicode Consortium. I shared it because I wanted people to know that the culture and way of thinking differ depending on the country, and it is easy to be misunderstood overseas.)
