✨ HONEY SOY SALMON BOWL ✨
This is the kind of easy dinner that works whether you serve it over rice, toss it on top of a salad, or pair it with whatever veggies you’re craving at the moment. Simple, flexible, and packed with flavor is always the goal around here. 🙌🏻 Great weeknight option of course, but it’s really a great any night option!
The salmon and edamame cooked on the sheet pan together, and the edamame goes from the freezer to the oven! Here’s how they come together:
Ingredients
• 1.25 to 1.5 lbs center cut salmon, cut into thicker cubes or strips
• 1/3 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
• 3 Tbsp honey
• 1.5 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
• 1 Tbsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp ground ginger
• 2 14 oz bags frozen shelled edamame
Optional toppings
• Toasted sesame seeds
• Sriracha
Optional side salad
• Veggies of choice (cucumber, carrot, red pepper, or whatever you have)
• Soy sauce
• Rice wine vinegar
• Toasted sesame oil
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400F.
2. Mix soy sauce, honey, rice wine vinegar, garlic powder, and ground ginger until fully incorporated. Make sure the honey is well mixed.
3. Add salmon to the marinade and set aside. This can be done ahead of time or right before cooking.
4. Spray a sheet pan and evenly spread the frozen edamame and marinated salmon on the pan.
5. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145F. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the salmon.
6. While the salmon cooks, mix your salad ingredients and set aside.
7. Serve as is, over rice, or over your favorite base.

As someone who's always looking for delicious, easy, and healthy dinner ideas, my Honey Soy Salmon Bowl recipe has become a true weeknight staple. It's the kind of meal that feels gourmet but comes together with minimal effort, making it perfect for busy evenings or when you just want something satisfying without a fuss. The best part? It's incredibly versatile, allowing you to truly 'build your bowl' exactly how you like it! Building Your Perfect Honey Soy Salmon Rice Bowl: While serving over rice is a classic choice for this honey soy salmon (and honestly, my favorite!), don't feel limited. Think of your bowl as a canvas! Here are some ideas to make it your own: Alternate Bases: Swap white rice for brown rice, quinoa, or even cauliflower rice for a lower-carb option. For a lighter meal, a bed of fresh spinach or mixed greens works wonderfully, turning it into a salmon salad bowl. More Veggies: The edamame baked with the salmon is fantastic, but you can easily add more. Toss in some broccoli florets, asparagus spears, or sliced bell peppers onto the sheet pan alongside the salmon and edamame for extra roasted goodness. For fresh crunch, add sliced cucumbers, shredded carrots, or a handful of fresh cilantro or scallions just before serving. Exciting Toppings: This is where you can really elevate your bowl! A creamy slice of avocado adds richness, a sprinkle of toasted cashews or peanuts provides extra crunch, and a drizzle of sriracha or a squeeze of fresh lime juice can brighten the flavors. For an extra protein boost and a touch of indulgence, a perfectly fried or soft-boiled egg is always a winner. Meal Prep Magic: Honey Soy Salmon Made Easy: I love that this recipe lends itself well to meal prepping. You can: Marinate Ahead: Mix your honey soy marinade and add the salmon cubes a day in advance. Let it soak up all that delicious flavor in the fridge, making dinner even quicker on cooking day. Prep Your Sides: Cook a big batch of rice or quinoa at the beginning of the week. Chop any additional fresh veggies you plan to use so they're ready to go. Quick Assembly: With your salmon marinated and sides prepped, it’s just a matter of baking the salmon and edamame, and then assembling your personalized honey soy salmon bowl in minutes. Pro-Tips for Perfectly Cooked Salmon: Don't Overcrowd: For even cooking and slightly crispy edamame, ensure your salmon and edamame are spread in a single layer on the sheet pan. If your pan is too small, use two! Watch the Temperature: Salmon cooks quickly! Keep an eye on it and aim for an internal temperature of 145F. Overcooked salmon can be dry, so pulling it out just in time is key to that flaky, tender texture. The size of your salmon pieces will affect cooking time, so adjust as needed. Crispy Edamame: Roasting frozen edamame straight from the freezer on the same sheet pan with the salmon is a game-changer. They get beautifully tender with slight charring, adding a lovely texture contrast. This Honey Soy Salmon Bowl isn't just a recipe; it's a flexible framework for a healthy, satisfying, and incredibly tasty meal that I genuinely look forward to making (and eating!) every time. Give it a try, and enjoy building your own perfect bowl!
