📍 1 Nov 2025! Dark Adjust!! Diesel Vehicle Black Smoke Standard must not exceed 20% for clean air and good health of all! Get ready to go together with the new Diesel Vehicle Black Smoke Standard announced in the Gazette and will be enforced from 1 November 2025 onwards.
By adjusting the black smoke standard, diesel vehicles must not exceed 20% from the original prescribed, not more than 30%, to control pollution caused by motor vehicles. This is an early primary cause, especially cars older than the Euro 5 standard, reduce the amount of particulate matter small PM2.5 caused by incomplete combustion of the engine.

This adjustment of the standard aims to control pollution from the traffic sector, which is the main cause of the occurrence of microparticulate matter PM2.5 caused by incomplete combustion of the engine.
⚠️ Penalties to Know! If your car is detected as emitting 20% more than the standard black smoke, there will be legal punitive measures. As follows:
Black smoke exceeds 20% with a "Temporary Prohibition" sticker and must be corrected within 30 days according to the National Environmental Quality Promotion and Treatment Act 1992 and punishable by a maximum fine of up to 4,000 baht according to the Land Traffic Act 1979.

การปรับมาตรฐานควันดำรถยนต์ดีเซลโดยลดเกณฑ์จาก 30% เหลือไม่เกิน 20% นั้นถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญในการควบคุมมลพิษทางอากาศ โดยเฉพาะการลดฝุ่นละอองขนาดเล็ก PM2.5 ที่ส่งผลเสียต่อสุขภาพอนามัยของประชาชนเป็นอย่างมาก ฝุ่น PM2.5 เกิดจากการเผาไหม้ของเครื่องยนต์ดีเซลที่ไม่สมบูรณ์ ซึ่งควันดำเป็นตัวชี้วัดสำคัญที่สะท้อนอัตราการปล่อยมลพิษของรถยนต์ โดยเฉพาะรถยนต์เก่าที่ไม่ได้มาตรฐานยูโร 5 การลดควันดำจึงช่วยลดความเสี่ยงด้านสุขภาพ เช่น โรคทางเดินหายใจและโรคหลอดเลือดหัวใจ มาตรฐานใหม่ที่กำหนดให้ควันดำไม่เกิน 20% เป็นการเน้นย้ำความสำคัญของการดูแลรักษาเครื่องยนต์ เนื่องจากหากตรวจพบควันดำเกินกำหนด จะมีการติดสติกเกอร์ "ห้ามใช้ชั่วคราว" พร้อมคำสั่งให้เจ้าของรถแก้ไขภายใน 30 วัน หากฝ่าฝืนจะถูกปรับสูงสุดไม่เกิน 4,000 บาท และอาจถูกสั่งห้ามใช้รถทันที วิธีลดควันดำที่ง่ายและได้ผล ได้แก่ การตรวจเช็กหัวฉีดเชื้อเพลิงเพื่อปรับจังหวะการฉีดให้เหมาะสม ซึ่งจะช่วยให้เชื้อเพลิงถูกเผาไหม้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น การชำระล้างท่อไอเสียเพื่อลดคราบสกปรกซึ่งส่งผลให้การปล่อยควันดำเกินมาตรฐาน การเปลี่ยนถ่ายน้ำมันเครื่องและกรองน้ำมันเครื่องตามระยะเวลาที่กำหนดเพื่อรักษาสมรรถภาพเครื่องยนต์ และการทำความสะอาดหรือเปลี่ยนไส้กรองอากาศเพื่อให้เครื่องยนต์ได้รับอากาศบริสุทธิ์เพียงพอ นอกจากนี้ การตรวจเช็กและซ่อมบำรุงเครื่องยนต์ให้อยู่ในสภาพสมบูรณ์ยังช่วยลดมลพิษและประหยัดน้ำมันเชื้อเพลิงไปพร้อมกัน ซึ่งจะช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่ายในระยะยาว รวมถึงยังเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการรักษาสิ่งแวดล้อมที่ทุกคนมีส่วนร่วม สำหรับเจ้าของรถยนต์ดีเซลในพื้นที่กรุงเทพฯ และปริมณฑล สามารถติดตามข่าวสารและมาตรการตรวจควันดำได้จากสำนักสิ่งแวดล้อม กทม. เพื่อเตรียมตัวให้พร้อมก่อนวันที่ 1 พฤศจิกายน 2568 เพื่อร่วมกันสร้างอากาศสะอาดและสุขภาพดีของประชาชนทุกคนอย่างยั่งยืน
