When "Data + Design," meet at the bus stop.
The journey of the city will never be the same again.
This new change of bus stops is not only a clean look, but we have updated the changing bus lines and redesigned the problem to solve the problem of real people. Let's see how Data and Design solve the pain point of the city?
Original sign. Fill function.
At present, the BMA has about 5,199 bus stops in use, but the problem is that many buses have been rerouted, causing the data on many stops to not match the current bus lines. At the same time, the BMA does not have a policy of dismantling the original signage, because most of the structures are still functional. If dismantled and reworked, it may be a waste of unnecessary budget. The Mayday design team started by solving the problem of the original signage structure instead of using the entire dismantling budget. The team chose to dismantle the broken section from the original structure and use the gap in the middle of the signage as an information area, which is at the level of sight.
Each area sign is different. Each area of the new sign looks different because it is flexible to the area.
🚌 the low-pass bus zone, the Route Box design is used to frame the bus line numbers.
🚌 a car zone through multiple lines or located in key locations. Highlights use Route Map, bus route map, schematic pattern showing other public transport access points.
Not just waiting for the car, but walking with a Walking Map.
Answer First & Last Mile Signs New Style 600 Points
Will come with a 450-meter walking radius map.
With more than 30 important landmarks around, turning the bus stops into miniature guides.
In addition to the usual signage, the BMA has 500 digital signage that tells you real-time information, not to stand by when the car will come, and everyone will change their life more accurately.
When design comes across accurate data, the city changes...
Where did anyone find a "new bus stop"? Take a picture and show off or share your feelings about how it happened.
