DAY 1: 75 HARD 📖✨
So, you've decided to embark on the 75 Hard Challenge? Welcome to the club! As someone just starting (or considering it), you know this isn't just a physical transformation program, but a serious test of mental toughness and discipline. It's truly a journey designed to forge unbreakable habits and a stronger mindset. What Exactly IS 75 Hard? For those unfamiliar, the 75 Hard Challenge was created by Andy Frisella. It's a 75-day program with six non-negotiable rules designed to push your limits and build incredible discipline. The idea is to cultivate mental fortitude by consistently sticking to challenging tasks every single day, no matter what. There are no 'cheat days' or skipping a rule; if you miss one, you start over from Day 1. The 6 Core Rules You Must Follow for 75 Hard: Follow a Diet: You choose one diet to stick to, no cheat meals and absolutely no alcohol for the entire 75 days. This is about consistency and making healthy food choices. Drink a Gallon of Water: Hydration is key! This might seem like a lot at first, but your body will thank you. Two 45-Minute Workouts: Yes, two! One must be outdoors, regardless of the weather. This rule really builds resilience and pushes you to get active. Read 10 Pages: Pick a non-fiction book that will help you grow personally or professionally. No audiobooks here, actual reading! Take a Progress Picture: Every single day, take a photo of yourself. This is how you'll track your physical changes and celebrate your journey. No Alcohol or Cheat Meals: This is part of the diet rule, but it bears repeating because it's often one of the toughest for many. Why It's Called "75 Hard" This challenge isn't about perfection, but about strict adherence and consistency. The difficulty comes from having to show up and perform these tasks every single day, even when you're tired, busy, or stressed. It forces you to prioritize your well-being and develop an 'iron will.' The 75 hard rules are simple, but executing them daily for 75 days without fail is where the real growth happens. Tips for Starting Your 75 Hard Journey (Especially Day 1!) Preparation is Key: Before Day 1, plan your meals, get a large water bottle, and choose your book. Knowing what you need to do makes it easier to follow through. Schedule Your Workouts: Look at your day and block out time for both workouts. If one has to be outdoors, think about the weather and adjust accordingly. Focus on One Day at a Time: Don't get overwhelmed by the full 75 days. Just focus on crushing today's tasks. Then, repeat tomorrow. Find Your 'Why': Why are you doing this challenge? Keep your reason close to your heart to pull you through tough moments. Embrace Discomfort: There will be days you don't feel like it. Those are the days you grow the most. Remember, it's a mental toughness program. Push through! I'm so excited to share my journey and all the lessons I'm learning along the way. If you're starting too, let's keep each other motivated! We've got this!
