How to deal with different types of acne👀

I’m someone who deals with acne and has acne prone skin. There’s so many different types of acne that happen to different reasons. Depending on your skin type or what type of acne you have there’s so many kinds of products to help out.💗

What I like to use:

- retinol: all types of acne

- Azelaic acid: inflammatory acne

- salicylic acid: comedonal acne

- benzoyl peroxide: inflammatory acne

Acne is a common skin condition that affects many people, and understanding the various types can help in selecting the right treatment. Different types of acne include inflammatory acne, which is characterized by red, swollen pimples, and non-inflammatory acne, such as comedonal acne, which manifests as blackheads and whiteheads. Retinol, a vitamin A derivative, is widely recommended for all types of acne because it promotes cell turnover and prevents clogged pores. Azelaic acid is effective for treating inflammatory acne by reducing redness and irritation. Salicylic acid is excellent for comedonal acne as it helps exfoliate the inside of the pores, while benzoyl peroxide is known for its antibacterial properties, making it effective against acne bacteria. Many dermatologists suggest combining these treatments for optimal results. Apart from topical treatments, lifestyle choices like maintaining a balanced diet, staying hydrated, and a consistent skincare routine can significantly influence acne management. Avoiding heavy or comedogenic makeup products can also prevent worsening of the skin condition. Remember, consulting a dermatologist can provide personalized solutions based on individual skin types and concerns.
