Healing out loud: I think with my heart not my hurt…

Healing Out Loud • Day 2 🌿

For the last few months, I lost pieces of myself to grief, caregiving, and simply surviving. This reset isn’t about becoming someone different—it’s about returning to the woman God created me to be.

Today I didn’t rush out of bed.

I prayed.

I read Psalm 2.

I listened to a message reminding me that God can move suddenly.

I cooked again.

I made myself a fresh cup of herbal tea.

I took a walk.

I finished planning a community healing event.

None of these things seem extraordinary on their own.

Together, they’re evidence that my mind is settling, my spirit is breathing again, and God is restoring me one quiet day at a time.

I’m sharing this Healing Out Loud for anyone who doesn’t yet have the courage to tell their own story.

Maybe today, all you need to do is slow down enough to hear God.

🌿 One day at a time.

... Read moreIn my personal experience, healing is not always about sudden breakthroughs or grand milestones but about embracing the small, intentional acts that restore us gradually. Like the article describes, taking time to slow down each morning—waking up without rushing, praying, and spending quiet moments with scripture—can profoundly ground your spirit. I found that incorporating simple rituals such as making a fresh cup of herbal tea or cooking a nourishing meal with love restores not only the body but also the mind and soul. These acts, while seemingly ordinary, create space for peace and reflection amid life's challenges. Psalm 2’s message about God’s sovereignty and sudden movement resonated deeply with me during difficult seasons. It reminded me that waiting doesn’t mean stagnation; rather, it’s faithful patience, trusting that God can bring transformation at any moment—even when it’s not on our timeline. Joining community healing events or spaces focused on faith and wellness provides valuable support and reminds us that we are not alone in this journey. Healing is multifaceted: mental wellness, spiritual renewal, and physical care all interconnect. Slowing down enough to listen to God requires mindfulness and self-compassion. It’s about allowing yourself to be rooted deeply in your faith, like a tree planted by streams of water that yields fruit in its season. This rootedness helps sustain us through grief, caregiving, exhaustion, and all life's trials. If you’re struggling to tell your own story of healing, remember that vulnerability can be a powerful step toward restoration. Sharing even small victories aloud builds courage and community. Healing out loud turns private pain into shared hope. Ultimately, embracing healing as a day-by-day process that values quiet moments of prayer, meditation, and self-care can renew your spirit and reveal the woman or man you were always meant to be.

The thing I never say out loud is…
Because we all have something. A truth we carry in silence. A story that trembles under the surface. A feeling that’s too messy, too raw, too much to speak. But here’s the thing: Writing doesn’t need you to say it perfectly. It just needs you to be real. So set a timer for 15 minutes. W

Deep Thoughts I’ve Never Said Out Loud
“For the girl who’s healing in silence… I hope this post feels like a warm hug.” Healing isn’t pretty. It’s isolating. It’s crying alone and pretending you’re okay when you’re not. But one day, you’ll look back and be proud of how far you came without anyone knowing the war you were fighting.

Some people don’t want love. They want control. I walked in with peace, loyalty, and real energy—and it exposed their dysfunction. So they pushed me away. And I used to think it was me. But now I know… I was just too real for their comfort zone. 🕊️ I’ll always choose peace over performing.
