Managing your Mental Health in College
These are just a couple of ways I manage my mental health personally
1. Exercise: I have a routine that I do throughout the week at the gym. I like to get up around 5:30am to exercise to start my morning off right and wake my body up.
2. Hang out with family and friends: I plan time to spend with my family and friends every month just so I won’t isolate myself from the ones I love. Even if it’s a phone call or FaceTime it’s still quality time spent with them.
3.Try something new: I love trying new things and it helps to get my brain going. I personally try new recipes, restraunts, or products I find in the store.
4. Plan: I am definetly a planner which essential while attending college. Planning helps you to stay focused on what you have to and when it needs to be done.
5. Take a self care day: I have personally took self care days to focus on my mental and give myslef to recuperate from a busy week with classes, meetings, and work. I know while attending college it’s hard to find a day to do this but the good thing it doesn’t have to be the whole day. I have had days where I do my work in the morning and had time to take the rest of the day off.
