African Religion
Its very important for black people to do cultural research about thier history because the past is as important as the future
Religion: Africans never praticed Christianity or Islam, those two religions was forces on us during the Atlantic slave trade (500 years) and Arab trade (lasted for 1300 years). Africans believe in nature and the cosmos which is more accurate.( the dogun tribe created astrology btw). Africans have always respected nature and used herbs or plants to clear blockages to become one with the sun. When black people start to worship God's and ancestors that look like them thier lives start to elevate because you're working with the elements in your DNA. Racial low self esteem disappears. Knowing thy self is very important. WHEN your strip a person from thier roots/dna its very easy to destroy them psychologically. The root of the tree is the most important. If the roots die the leaves will fall.

When Black individuals reclaim their indigenous gods and revered ancestors—figures that physically and culturally represent them—it strengthens racial self-esteem and cultivates a sense of belonging. Historical forces like the Trans-Atlantic and Arab slave trades forcibly imposed Christianity and Islam, which disrupted ancestral practices and severed individuals from their roots. This disconnection can lead to deep psychological harm. Therefore, reconnecting with one’s native spiritual traditions is a powerful act of healing and self-knowledge. Preserving the roots of identity—the metaphorical root of the tree—is critical to maintaining cultural vitality. Without these roots, communities can suffer loss of identity and cultural erosion. Today, many African descendants worldwide are engaging in cultural research and reclaiming their spiritual heritage as a means to empower themselves and future generations. This reclamation supports not only spiritual wellness but also cultural pride and resilience. Embracing African religion offers a pathway to understanding the self, the cosmos, and the environment in holistic and meaningful ways that honor ancestry and promote personal growth.
