New Smell Goods Part 47
Technically this would have been part 48 if I posted my review on queens caramel and rare by rare beauty lol. I honestly just didnât feel like posting my review for both even though I love both lol.
I knew I was going to love the chocolate oud (although I donât get a chocolate note) thatâs why I purchased two bottles lol. I can always layer with a chocolate fragrance if I want a chocolate note.
I cannot do a lot of musk and that is why I went with the little bottle. Maybe if the musk and incense was turned down a little bit I would love milky musk. Itâs crazy how the incense in chocolate oud didnât bother me .
Which of the two did you grab and which one do you like the most ?
Part 48 will be coming when my cherry stem, chalet (travel size), and mango hour come in next week. Part 49 will come when my forbidden apple croque moi comes in once Sephora releases it on Tuesday.
Okay, so diving deeper into my Kayali Oudgasm journey, let's really break down these two intriguing fragrances, especially since so many of you are curious about Kayali Oudgasm Chocolate Oud review and Kayali Oudgasm Milky Musk Oud. First up, Kayali Oudgasm Chocolate Oud. When I saw the name, I instantly imagined a rich, decadent chocolate dessert in a bottle. However, as my nose discovered, the 'cacao' note here is far from a sweet milk chocolate. Instead, it presents as a deep, sophisticated, almost bitter cocoa powder, beautifully blended with warm spicy notes and a hint of rum! The prominent oud really anchors it, giving it a luxurious, slightly boozy depth thatâs undeniably mature and captivating. Itâs certainly a dark, warm spicy fragrance, perfect for cooler evenings. I honestly don't get a literal chocolate note, but the overall warmth and richness are what made me grab two bottles. If you're like me and crave that true chocolate essence, I've found that layering it with a simple vanilla or even a pure chocolate oil can transform it beautifully, adding that gourmand touch without overpowering the complex oud and rum facets. It's a fantastic unisex scent that truly evolves on the skin, leaning into its woody, resinous core with a subtle hint of caramel. Now, for Kayali Oudgasm Milky Musk Oud. My experience with musk can be a hit or miss, and this one definitely leans into a very specific type of musk. The main accords here are very much woody, musky, oud, and powdery, just as the descriptions suggest. For me, the suede and incense notes in Milky Musk Oud are incredibly prominent, creating a powerful, almost animalic warmth. While the powdery aspect tries to soften it, the musk and strong incense combination was a bit too much for my personal preference. It's a bold fragrance, no doubt, and it radiates confidence. If you're a fan of strong, assertive musks blended with a noticeable woody oud and a touch of something smoky from the incense, this could be your holy grail. Itâs definitely not a 'safe' blind buy, as the original article hinted, and I completely stand by that. You absolutely need to try this on your skin to see how it melds with your chemistry, because it has a truly unique character that demands attention. The ambrette in it also adds a certain warmth and subtle sweetness that peeks through the more dominant notes. For those of you searching for a 'smoky oud Kayali,' I'd say that while neither Chocolate Oud nor Milky Musk Oud are explicitly marketed as smoky, the incense in both, especially in Milky Musk, lends a certain depth that can be perceived as slightly smoky. Chocolate Oud's oud also has a rich, dark quality that might appeal to smoky oud lovers, though it's more resinous than smoky. The beauty of the Kayali Oudgasm line is its exploration of oud in so many facets. It's designed for those who appreciate complex, long-lasting fragrances that tell a story. My biggest takeaway is always to sample these before committing, as oud-based fragrances, especially with strong companion notes like musk and incense, are incredibly personal.

I havenât grabbed either I forgot they were releasing the chocolate one. What does incense note smell like?? I own none with that note in my Collection.
