As a result, those comments can be damaging to those involved, especially the "victim." We often see questions like "Why didn't you report to the police in the first place" or "If you do that, it won't happen." Although the publisher may see them as just simple questions, for people who are facing loss or psychological trauma, these questions can become repeated and refer to what is called Victim Blaming, or blaming the victim.

Reflecting that the reality is that people who are in real events have only a few seconds to make decisions under shock, terror and pressure. Many times they do not have the opportunity to think carefully. On the other hand, people who are reading news and are typing comments on social media have time to think, have time to analyze, and have the opportunity to choose their words before pressing a post. This difference in circumstances prevents us from comparing the decisions of people who are in real events with analysis from people outside the event.

Of course, some events may have no conclusions or facts may change when new information comes in. Therefore, not rushing to judge is the best thing.
