For example, billionaires with fortunes exceeding hundreds of billions are often viewed as successful role models rather than sources of concern. Similarly, political figures involved in multiple corruption allegations tend not to face widespread public outrage or accountability. From my personal experience, this normalization might stem from a combination of factors: media saturation, desensitization to scandals, and a sense of powerlessness to enact change. Additionally, the systems in place often reinforce this acceptance. Corporate and political interests are deeply intertwined, and narratives that promote the status quo—such as 'trickle-down economics' or the idea that political elites always act in public interest—are hard to dispute without significant awareness and collective action. Engaging critically with news sources, participating in community discussions, and supporting transparency initiatives can help individuals break free from this passive acceptance. Recognizing that such disparities and corruption are not inevitable but the result of human choices is empowering. Each person’s informed voice can contribute to pressure for reform that encourages fairness and accountability in governance and wealth distribution.
