“Write the vision and make it plain…” — Habakkuk 2:2-3 ✨
The goal was simple: finish what I started & finish in under an hour. 10K later… 57:11.
If God placed it before you, keep running towards it — even when it’s uncomfortable. 🤍
Thank you @New Balance and everyone who supported me along the way. Year 27 finished strong.
What’s our next race? 👀

Running a 10K race is not just a physical challenge, but a mental and spiritual journey as well. When I first decided to commit to finishing my 10K under an hour, it was about more than just the stopwatch—it was about persevering through discomfort and embracing the process as a step forward in my fitness journey. My faith, inspired by scriptures like Habakkuk 2:2-3, became an anchor, reminding me to ‘write the vision and make it plain,’ so I stayed focused on the goal laid out before me. What really helped was mentally 'running' with the vision—praying over it and visualizing crossing that finish line. Even as my legs grew weary and my pace slowed, I kept telling myself that the end goal would surely come, reflecting on how faith can carry us through tough moments when physical strength fades. Partnering with a supportive community and reliable gear like New Balance running shoes was another pillar of support. Choosing footwear that provided comfort and stability allowed me to keep form and push hard in those last kilometers. Having cheers and encouragement along the way created a positive environment that transformed the challenge into an achievable milestone. If you’re on a similar journey—whether running, fitness-related, or pursuing a dream—embrace the discomfort as part of the process. Keep your vision clear, pray or affirm your goals daily, and surround yourself with encouragement. Remember, progress might not come as fast as you want, but persistence fueled by faith will lead you there. What’s your next race or goal? Run towards it with confidence.
