... Read moreI've tried making these Peanut Butter Protein Balls several times, and they always turn out great. The combination of mashed banana and honey with peanut butter adds just the right amount of natural sweetness and moisture, making it easy to roll the mixture into balls without them sticking. I usually use a protein powder that I like, but I've found that vanilla-flavored protein works best for enhancing the taste without overpowering the peanut butter. Including flax seeds is a great addition as it adds fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, which are excellent for heart health. The chopped walnuts add a nice crunch and extra protein, making these protein balls a balanced snack. I sometimes substitute chocolate chips with dried fruit like raisins or goji berries for a different flavor profile. One tip I would share is to wet your hands slightly before rolling the mixture into balls. It prevents sticking and helps the balls stay smooth. After forming the balls, refrigerating them for at least 30 minutes helps them set well and improves their texture. I keep these protein balls in an airtight container in the fridge and grab them whenever I need a quick snack before or after workouts. They keep me full and energized for hours. Plus, they're so easy to make and require no baking! This recipe is also flexible, so you can adjust ingredients based on your preference or what you have at home.
