Don’t let life consume you

2024/1/30 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! We've all had those moments where life feels like it's just *too much*, right? It’s like a constant battle to stay afloat, and sometimes, you just feel consumed. I’m here to share some deeper insights and personal strategies I’ve learned to truly prevent life from overwhelming me. It’s more than just saying 'don't let it consume you' – it's about actively building resilience. Let's talk about rejection. When something doesn't work out, whether it's a job, a friendship, or an opportunity, it's easy to dwell. I used to beat myself up, asking 'Why me?' But I've learned that sometimes, it just wasn't meant to be. This isn't about giving up; it's about accepting what you can't change and redirecting your energy. Try writing down your feelings, acknowledging the hurt, and then consciously deciding to release that resentment. It's tough, but practicing acceptance frees up so much mental space. And for those rough days? We all have them. Instead of letting a bad day spiral into a bad week, I've found immense comfort in treating myself to a cozy evening. This isn't just about Netflix; it's about intentional self-soothing. Maybe it's a warm bath with essential oils, reading a good book under a blanket, cooking a comforting meal, or even just listening to calming music. It's about creating a personal sanctuary to recharge your emotional battery. Feeling stuck in a negative environment? This one can be tricky, especially if it’s work or family related. When I can't physically remove myself, I focus on uplifting myself with positive hobbies. This could be anything from painting, gardening, crafting, learning a new language, or diving into a fitness routine. These activities create a mental escape and remind you of your own agency and joy. They act as a protective bubble against external negativity. What about when they didn't invite you or you feel left out? This used to hit hard. But I've cultivated the art of enjoying my own company. It's powerful! Plan a solo date – visit a museum, go for a hike, or try that new cafe. Discovering how much joy you can create for yourself, independent of others, is liberating. It builds self-reliance and confidence. Lastly, if they don't respect you, remember the golden rule: respect yourself and move on. This isn't about being arrogant; it's about setting firm boundaries. Your happiness should never depend on anyone else's validation or approval. If someone consistently disrespects you, it's a reflection of them, not you. Protect your peace by distancing yourself or clearly communicating your boundaries. Prioritize your well-being above trying to win over someone who doesn't value you. Ultimately, not letting life consume you is an ongoing journey of self-discovery, self-compassion, and setting healthy boundaries. It's about remembering your inherent worth and safeguarding your inner peace. You deserve to live a life where you feel empowered, not overwhelmed.

You’re not seeing that gains that you want because you aren’t eating enough protein. You’re losing weight but you’re also losing your shape and curves, again you’re not eating enough protein! You should be eating .8g of protein for every lb of body weight (or goal weight). Ex. (200lbs) 200 x .8

You Become What You Consume 🌿
In this season of my life, I’ve been paying more attention to what I allow into my mind. The books I read. The conversations I entertain. The content I scroll through. The people I spend time with. The thoughts I repeat to myself every day. None of these things seem significant on their own,
