things I hope to teach my daughter...

I’m learning these lessons right alongside her.

Showing her that faith isn’t about perfection, self-love isn’t selfish & strength can look gentle too.

If she learns nothing else, I hope she always knows she is deeply loved 🤍

I’ve come to realize that instilling faith is not about demanding perfection but about embracing the beauty of imperfection together. When life becomes challenging, reminding her to run to God first provides comfort and strength. Self-love is another vital lesson we practice daily. I want her to understand that loving herself isn’t selfish—it’s necessary. This means honoring her body not as a problem to fix but as a gift to cherish, moving it with joy and care. Encouraging her to express her voice and kindness boldly reminds her that she doesn't need to shrink or dim her light to make others comfortable. Perhaps the most powerful realization has been about worth. I emphasize that her value isn’t something to be earned. Whether on her best days or her hardest, she is enough—whole and deeply loved. Watching her grow into her gentle strength, confident kindness, and resilient faith is the most rewarding lesson I’m learning alongside her. These hopes I hold serve as daily reminders of the love and empowerment I want her to carry into the world.
