Social Media Fast | Glow Up Challenge
📒Notes: I decided to do a social media fast for the next 2 months. I have goals that I want to accomplish and I need to be present with no distractions.
Social media is a huge distractions for me. I spend way too much time doom scrolling and comparing myself, procrastinating… when I can be doing some many other things.
- No instagram, No Facebook ✋
This is a way to be more present with God, my goals, with myself, with my kids and my husband.
-
It’s time for a change, let’s focus on the things that I can.
-
I look forward to bringing my new community with me❤️
Social media can often become a source of distraction, pulling us away from our personal goals and relationships. With the rise of digital connectivity, many individuals find themselves scrolling endlessly on platforms like Instagram and Facebook, which can result in anxiety and decreased productivity. A social media fast is not just about abstaining from these platforms but rather about reclaiming time for more meaningful activities. During this challenge, consider engaging in activities that enrich your life, such as reading, pursuing a new hobby, or spending quality time with family and friends. Many people report a boost in their mental health and overall well-being after taking breaks from social media. Not only does it reduce feelings of inadequacy from social comparisons, but it also allows for a deeper connection to the present moment. To enhance your experience, plan for specific times to disconnect from technology. Set clear goals for the areas of your life you wish to focus on, such as spirituality, physical health, or personal relationships. Whether it’s dedicating time to prayer, meditation, or simply enjoying the outdoors, make the most out of your time away from digital distractions. By sharing your journey through hashtags like #Lemon8Diary or #transformation, you create a supportive community that encourages others to join or share their experiences, fostering a sense of collective growth. Ultimately, a social media fast can lead to a more fulfilling and balanced life, encouraging you to invest time in what truly matters.
