1. Being afraid of fruit. Natural sugars in whole foods are not the enemy. Fruit also brings fiber, vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The issue is added sugars — not strawberries and bananas.
2. Extreme bulks + cuts. I’ve worked too hard to support a healthy metabolism to yo-yo on purpose. If this approach works for you, amazing! I’ve just never been a fan for myself.
3. Highly restrictive dieting. When your “discipline” takes over your entire life, that’s not wellness. A healthy relationship with food matters just as much as the food itself.
4. Women staying at super low body fat. Losing your period is not “normal” fitness. Hormonal health is part of health — not something to sacrifice to stay shredded year-round.
5. Maxing out all the time. If you’re not training for a strength sport, constantly testing 1RMs just adds stress to your joints and recovery. Strength can be built without destroying yourself.
Balance, nourishment, consistency, and listening to your body > extremes.
