What you wished you knew before becoming a mom?✨

Spent so much time stressing over baby sleep, trying every tip and trick out there until I educated myself on baby sleep. The sleepless nights were hard, but I learned that sometimes, it’s okay to let go of perfection and just go with the flow. You cannot control a baby's sleep. You can help them but can’t control it. Sticking with a routine is key even if it doesn’t go as planned. Now that I’ve been having a routine her sleep seamlessly fell in place. Every baby is different, and so is every mom’s journey. 💕

... Read moreAs new parents, navigating baby sleep can be a challenge filled with confusion and unexpected hurdles. Many first-time moms enter parenthood with high expectations for their baby's sleep routine, only to realize that babies can be unpredictable. Understanding the significance of a flexible yet consistent approach to sleep can enhance both baby’s and parent’s well-being. It’s common for mothers to feel pressure to adhere to strict sleep schedules, but rigid routines often lead to stress and unwanted tension. Instead, focusing on educating oneself about developmental sleep stages can significantly improve the sleep experience. Techniques such as creating a calm bedtime environment, implementing soothing sleep rituals, and remaining patient can yield positive results. Additionally, forming a support network with other mothers or joining parenting forums can be invaluable. Sharing experiences and gathering insights from those who’ve faced similar challenges can provide comfort and practical solutions. Engaging with communities, like #infantsleep or #MomLife, allows parents to exchange ideas and support during sleepless nights. Ultimately, every mom’s journey is unique, and it’s essential to embrace the idea of progress over perfection when it comes to baby sleep.

I wish I knew how little sleep I’d get, how much advice I’d have to filter, and how quickly they outgrow clothes. It’s exhausting, but the love, cuddles, and growth make it all so worth it.

Routine is key and to try to stick to it as much as possible. Also don’t look at what all the other moms are doing…do you!
