From my experience, focusing on anti-inflammatory meals and balanced nutrition has been a game changer in my healing journey. One practical tip is to incorporate whole, minimally processed foods that reduce inflammation, such as leafy greens, fatty fish, and antioxidant-rich fruits. One of my go-to ingredients has been Andouille chicken sausage, which offers a flavorful protein choice free from artificial ingredients, added nitrates, and antibiotics. Opting for such sausages, which are gluten and pork free, helped me enjoy meals without compromising my dietary restrictions. It's also crucial to listen to your body. On days when inflammation flares up, simpler, soothing meals like bone broth-based soups or gentle steamed vegetables helped me recover and maintain energy. I found that meal inspiration from diverse sources kept my menu exciting and balanced. Additionally, integrating realistic healthy eating habits into a busy mom’s life was key. Meal prepping with nutrient-dense foods reduced stress and ensured I stayed on track even with a hectic schedule. Celebrating small wins — like feeling more sustained after meals or fewer flare-ups — encouraged me to keep prioritizing nutritious, healing foods.
