PUMPKIN COBBLER

We’ve all heard of peach cobbler but have you heard of pumpkin cobbler?

Recipe:

pumpkin layer:

2 cans (15 oz each) pure canned pumpkin (not pie mix)

1/4 cup spice cake mix or yellow cake mix

2 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 to 1/2 cup brown sugar, as desired

Pumpkin pie spice or mixed spice, to taste (optional)

For the topping:

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup spice cake mix or yellow cake mix (remaining from 15.25 oz box)

you don't use all the cake mix just a quarter of a cup for the pumpkin layer and only a cup of cake mix for the topping

So in one cake pan, do you make the pumpkin cake ? Then make a regular cake in another cake pan ?
