One day at a Time

I’ve fallen off the fitness wagon… but I’m ready to jump back on. I was very fit for the majority of my life and now I look in the mirror or at pictures and I see someone I’m starting to not recognize. I’m in the worst shape of my life physically and, if I’m being honest, emotionally too. I had to move to the middle of nowhere. I started a career that I thought I wanted but due to location and the nature of the work, I am starting to hate it. I used to pride myself on being patient and caring and now sometimes I snap at my littles for simple things. I have not done an actual workout in months and I’m sure my wind is very short if not completely gone. Half a bottle of sparkling wine has become a daily indulgence while cooking dinner and the other half polished off before my bedtime. My sleep schedule is crap. I have never been a particularly neat person but my house is a constant mess because of my overconsumption- my weakness is clothes and spur-of-the-moment little gifts for my kiddos and my lack of drive. My room has piles of laundry sorted but waiting to be washed and the playroom is covered in my spontaneous purchases. I am overwhelmed and under motivated.

I recently took a trip out of the country and I had a few hard talks with myself on one of my solo walks - I need to make a change.

I’ve already started decluttering my home and I feel like my brain is slowly getting out this fog. Every section I clean unlocks a tiny portion of my brain and motivation. Now that my surroundings are starting to go back to normal, I’m ready to get myself back to my normal.

So this is my accountability moment. I need to hold myself accountable. Starting tomorrow morning, I am going to start posting a picture of my weight and a section of my home that needs to be tidied every weekday for a month. I hope that I can see some progress and stick to posting. I hope you’ll all join me on this journey and support my life 180.
