😍 Dates that taste just like snickers!!

INGREDIENTS * Medjool dates * peanut butter * roasted peanuts chopped * chocolate dark, milk, or semi-sweet will work

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Cut each date open and remove the seed/pit. You can skip this step if you purchased pitted dates.

2. Transfer the peanut butter to a piping bag or ziplock bag. You can also use a spoon for this step. Fill each date with peanut putter and sprinkle chopped peanuts on top. Seal the dates shut by pressing at the top.

3. Press a toothpick into each date to help with dipping later. Alternatively you can use a fork to dip them but toothpicks make it easier.

4. If your dates are very soft and don't hold shape well, pop them in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes. Otherwise, skip this step.

5. Melt the chocolate of choice in the microwave in 30 second intervals, stirring in between until completely melted.

6. Dip each date in the melted chocolate, let any excess drip off, and transfer to tray or plate lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle the top with chopped peanuts for an added crunch.

7. Pop in the fridge or freezer for a few minutes until the chocolate is firm to touch.

8. Remove the toothpicks and enjoy.

One question I often get when I share this recipe is about preparing the Medjool dates, specifically 'how to remove pits from medjool dates' easily. It's super simple! If you bought unpitted dates, just use a small, sharp knife to make a lengthwise slit on one side of each date. Be careful not to cut all the way through. Once you've made the incision, you can easily pop the pit out with your fingers or the tip of the knife. If the dates are a bit firm, warming them slightly can make them softer and easier to pit. Some people find it easier to use a small spoon to scoop out the pit and make room for the filling. Just ensure you don't damage the date too much, as you want it to hold the peanut butter filling perfectly.
