Why I dont really use ChatGBT as a student

This is just my personal opinion!! I’m really interested in knowing what other students use it for and if they have an no gos like I do.

I do think it’s a great resource, but for me I believe in using it in moderation. I still think google scholar or the archive is the best resource for finding sources.

I also think sending emails is something that I personally enjoy and for this reason do not use AI in this either.

I want to hear what you guys think though!!

... Read moreAs students navigate the complexities of academic life, the emergence of AI tools like ChatGPT has sparked discussions on their efficacy and relevance. While many students find AI helpful for brainstorming or generating ideas, there are aspects where traditional methods still shine. For instance, academic databases like Google Scholar remain paramount for rigorous research, offering peer-reviewed sources essential for credible assignments. Moreover, the personal touch in communication, especially in email correspondences, fosters authenticity that AI can't replicate. Engaging in genuine conversations allows students not only to express themselves but also to build connections that are vital in educational environments. The debate on AI's role in education is ongoing. Students are experimenting with various tools, weighing the benefits of convenience against the potential loss of critical skills developed through traditional research and writing. Some resist relying on automated assistance, arguing that crafting messages and emails in their own voice is integral to their identity. As we explore the landscape altered by AI, it's crucial to maintain a balance. Leveraging technology should complement traditional learning rather than completely replace it, empowering students to evolve into well-rounded individuals prepared for future challenges.
