glow up this semester as a student

Why just be scraping by in college when you can be doing so much better? I think the biggest thing is setting habits and doing little things weekly that really helps you glow up with your education and getting the grades that you want to see.

The things that I really think you should add into your rotation are getting up before classes and starting early going to office hours doing required readings and looking through your notes before you’re just trying to cram for an exam.

Doing these things will help to get you on a routine that includes constant learning and productivity so that you’re not feeling like you’re constantly playing catch-up and that way studying for exams goes even better and you’re focusing on the little things instead of getting a big picture so you’re going to naturally be able to study better

... Read moreAchieving a successful glow up this semester as a student involves more than just last-minute studying; it requires a well-rounded approach to learning and productivity. One of the most effective methods is adopting the Pomodoro Technique, which breaks study time into focused intervals with short breaks to improve concentration and retention. Consistently reviewing notes weekly instead of cramming helps reinforce your understanding of course material. This incremental learning approach facilitates better concept connections and long-term retention, reducing exam anxiety. Mandatory readings should never be overlooked. Doing required readings early not only supports class discussions but also lowers stress levels by keeping you prepared for lectures and assignments. Attending office hours is another critical strategy. It allows you to clarify doubts, get personalized guidance, and build relationships with professors — all of which contribute to academic success and a positive college experience. Moreover, starting your day early and organizing your schedule around your class times help establish a productive routine. Waking up before classes gives extra time for review or light preparation, setting a proactive tone for the day. Together, these strategies—Pomodoro time management, regular note reviews, completing required readings, visiting office hours, and starting early—create a holistic academic routine that encourages continuous learning and minimizes last-minute stress. By incorporating these habits, you go beyond just scraping by to genuinely glowing up as a student this semester.
