The Prayer You Haven’t Said Yet 🤍
There are things we carry quietly for a long time.
Prayers we think about but never say out loud.
Dreams we’re afraid to ask God for.
Burdens we try to manage on our own because asking for help feels vulnerable.
But this verse is such a gentle reminder that God invites us to come to Him openly.
“Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.”
God is not bothered by your prayers.
He is not tired of hearing your heart.
He does not ask you to carry life alone.
Sometimes we stop praying boldly because disappointment made us afraid to hope again. We prayed before and things didn’t happen how we expected. So we slowly learned to expect less.
But faith keeps bringing us back.
Back to trusting.
Back to asking.
Back to believing God still listens.
Not every answer comes immediately.
Not every prayer unfolds according to our timeline.
But prayer changes something inside us too. It reminds us we are not walking through life unseen or unsupported.
God cares about the big things.
The small things.
The worries keeping you awake.
The hopes you haven’t told anyone about yet.
You do not have to have perfect words.
You do not need to earn God’s attention.
Bring Him your gratitude.
Bring Him your fears.
Bring Him your questions.
Bring Him your hopes.

You can still ask.

Reflecting on personal experience, I’ve found that the hardest prayers to say aloud are often those filled with vulnerability—our deepest fears, desires, and doubts. Bold prayer is an invitation to embrace hope again, even after disappointment.
