How important is the rest day?
"Rest day" is more important than many people think, especially if you exercise regularly. This is the main reason why rest days are necessary. 👇
🧠 1. Let the body recover (Recovery)
When you exercise, a muscle develops a small tear.
Resting helps the body repair → makes muscles stronger, not just leave and grow immediately.
💪 2. Build better muscles.
Muscle building actually happens at "rest," not at lifting weights.
If not resting → muscle fatigue → slow development
⚠️ 3. Reduce injury risk
If forced to practice every day without rest
Risk of overuse, such as tendinitis, muscle tear.
🔋 4. Reset energy and hormones.
Resting helps balance hormones such as cortisol (stress hormone).
Make the body not "broken, accumulated."
🧘 5. Good for the mind.
Rest reduces the stress of training.
Makes you more "want to go back to practice." No, burn out.
