😞Emotions sometimes get the best of us

When I’m not my best and when I need to come back to myself breathing has become something so simple but yet effective for me. Especially when done with the intention to release pent up negative energy.

Here is a pranayama technique to help when you need to regulate…

✨🌿🫁Box Breathing for emotional regulation:

Box breathing is good for me when I need some emotional regulation. It activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which helps calm the body and mind. By focusing on a steady, controlled breathing pattern, it reduces stress, promotes mindfulness, and helps regulate emotions during anxious or overwhelming moments. This technique encourages balance and stability, both physically and mentally.

🌿BB STEPS:

1. Inhale for 3-6 seconds (adjust based on comfort).

2. Hold your breath for the same count (3-6 seconds).

3. Exhale for the same count (3-6 seconds).

4. Hold your breath for the same count again (3-6 seconds).

The key is to maintain the same duration for each phase, adjusting it to match your comfortable lung capacity.

The first tip, "1. Pray for them," suggests praying for others to develop a relationship with God, repent, be blessed, forgive themselves, and for those who persecute you, referencing Matthew 5:44 and Romans 12:14.
The second tip, "2. Pray for your own mind," encourages praying for wisdom, protection from lies, peace, and turning to God during hurt, citing various biblical verses like James 1:5 and Philippians 4:6-7.
