Learning Myself First (February–March Reads)

Before I try to understand anyone else’s patterns,

I’m learning mine.

📘 Anxious Attachment Workbook

→ understanding my triggers

→ learning how to self-regulate

→ choosing security over reassurance

📗 Toxic No More

→ recognizing unhealthy dynamics

→ releasing what keeps me stuck

→ building emotional clarity and boundaries

This season isn’t about fixing myself.

It’s about awareness, self-trust, and becoming more secure—slowly and honestly.

February–March reads.

Deep work, no rush.

2/6 Edited to

... Read moreEmbarking on a journey of self-awareness can be transformative, especially when it involves understanding attachment patterns and emotional boundaries. From personal experience, using resources like the Anxious Attachment Workbook helped me identify my triggers clearly. It was a gradual process learning how to self-regulate instead of seeking constant reassurance, which really shifted my perspective on relationships. The book Toxic No More was equally impactful. It brought to light unhealthy dynamics I hadn't fully seen before and gave practical advice on releasing those patterns that held me back. One key takeaway is the importance of building emotional clarity and setting boundaries—not as a way to push people away but to prioritize one’s own well-being. What stands out is the emphasis on progress over perfection. This season isn’t about rushing to fix flaws but about cultivating self-trust and security at a comfortable pace. Taking deep, honest work seriously without feeling pressured to hurry can make self-discovery feel empowering rather than overwhelming. Incorporating these strategies into daily life—such as mindfulness exercises to manage anxiety or journaling to explore emotions—helped create lasting change. For anyone feeling stuck, approaching growth with compassion and patience is crucial. It’s a journey worth committing to, as it ultimately enriches how we relate to ourselves and others.
