4/ 4 /2 6 was the day I had to say goodbye to my mom

Losing a loved one, especially a parent, is one of the most profound experiences in life. Through my journey of saying goodbye to my mom on 4/4/26, I learned that grief is not just about loss but also about celebration of the time spent together. Each moment, no matter how small, becomes a cherished memory that shapes how we move forward. It’s important to remember that grief doesn’t have a timeline and that seeking support from friends, family, or support groups can provide comfort during difficult times. One thing that helped me was creating small rituals to honor my mom’s memory, like lighting a candle on significant dates or looking through old photos. These acts of remembrance keep her spirit alive and provide a sense of connection even after goodbye. I hope sharing my story encourages others facing similar pain to know they are not alone.
