PET tape journal spread first attempt
I’ve become addicted to PET tape. I love watching the videos of people making spreads so I thought I’d give it a try. This is my first attempt so be nice.
Trying out PET tape for journal spreads can feel both exciting and a bit challenging, especially for first-timers. When I started, I was drawn to the tactile and visual appeal of the translucent tapes and the freedom they offer to layer colors and textures. Watching other creatives on social media inspired me to experiment with different layouts and see how PET tape could add depth and dimension to my pages. One tip I found helpful was to start with simple patterns before moving on to more complex designs. This approach allows you to get a feel for how the tape behaves on paper and how it interacts with other materials like pens, stickers, and paints. Also, because PET tape has a smooth surface, it’s useful to test writing on it to ensure your ink doesn’t smudge. Another aspect I loved was how PET tape preserves journal memories in a unique way—it acts almost like a protective layer while adding an artistic flair. If you enjoy journaling as a form of self-expression or mindfulness, incorporating PET tape can bring a fresh dimension to your practice. Plus, sharing your spreads with communities using hashtags like #journaling and #journalinspiration can be motivating and rewarding. Overall, my first attempt was both a learning experience and a source of joy. If you’re curious about PET tape journaling, I encourage you to gather some supplies, watch a few tutorials, and start creating. It’s all about enjoying the process and making your journal truly your own.
