I have not put on makeup since I broke my collarbone. This has been a real struggle. I miss golf and Pilates. On the positive side my left arm is getting really strong
Breaking a collarbone can really disrupt your normal activities and your routine, especially when it affects one of your arms. One of the challenges I've encountered is the inability to do makeup and participate in my usual fitness activities like golf and Pilates. These are not just hobbies but ways I maintain my mental and physical health. However, a positive aspect during this recovery has been noticing how much strength my left arm has gained. Often when one limb is injured, the body adapts by compensating, which can lead to improved strength in the unaffected parts. For me, this has been a real motivator to keep going despite the temporary setbacks. In addition to physical changes, there is also an emotional journey. It’s natural to miss your usual activities and the sense of normalcy they bring. I’ve found that setting small, achievable goals, such as daily light stretching or simply improving my arm strength, helps maintain a positive outlook. A realistic outfit of the day (OOTD) also helps maintain a sense of routine and confidence, even when feeling limited by injury. Dressing up, even casually, can improve mood and serve as a reminder that this recovery phase is temporary. If you’re going through a similar experience, consider focusing on what you can control and celebrate the small gains—whether it’s increased strength in an unaffected limb or simply getting out of bed and maintaining some semblance of normal life. Recovery is personal and non-linear, but staying positive and proactive helps immensely.

Well for one thing you really don't need makeup. You are beautiful without it. And I know how you feel about things that you can't do since breaking your collarbone. I tore the tendons in both of my elbows. And now I get a sharp pain in them I try to lift any weight
