🌱 I Almost Gave Up Before Day 2… But God Had Other Plans 🩷

Can I be honest?

I looked at the clock, and it was almost 5:00 a.m.

My first thought was, "I already failed."

I forgot to write my journal.

Then God gently reminded me that mustard seed faith isn't about perfection it's about returning.

So instead of letting guilt convince me to quit before Day 2, I opened my journal anyway.

Today, while cleaning my home, God reminded me:

Sometimes it's not that you need something new. Take care of what you have.

That wasn't just about my home.

It was about my children, my calling, my voice, and every seed He's already entrusted to me.

Today also reminded me that faith without works is dead. Faith isn't just believing God will do something—it's responding in obedience to what He's already asked me to do.

My job is obedience. God's job is the harvest. 🌱

🤍🩷Journal Prompt

What is one thing God has already entrusted to you that you want to steward more faithfully?

I'd love to read your answer and keep you in my prayers.

🌱 The journal is closed for today.

I'll meet you back here tomorrow for Day 3.

Until then...

Keep choosing faith, one mustard seed at a time. 🌱

🤍 Goodnight, sisters in Christ.

... Read moreFaith journeys often have moments where we feel like we've failed or fallen short. I can relate deeply to the experience of waking up at 5 a.m., realizing I missed a moment of devotion or journaling, and thinking that I’ve already failed. But what holds me firm is the reminder that faith, like a mustard seed, isn’t about perfection—it’s about returning. Returning to God, returning to our purpose, and continuing with obedience despite setbacks. One lesson that resonates from this reflection is the importance of stewardship. It's easy to think we need to chase something new or bigger, but sometimes spiritual growth means taking care of what we already have. This might look like nurturing your family, embracing your calling, or using your voice to serve and inspire. These are the seeds already entrusted to us, waiting for faithful cultivation. I’ve noticed that when I focus on stewardship—whether caring for my home, relationships, or spiritual responsibilities—God’s presence feels more tangible. It’s a slow but transformative process, like rearranging clutter to create space in a physical room. Spiritually, it creates room for growth, trust, and alignment with God’s plan. Faith without works is indeed dead, and this personal insight encourages active response to God's calling rather than passive belief. Obedience is our part, not perfection or immediate results. The harvest, as the author wisely shares, is God’s responsibility. This gives me peace during times of uncertainty or when progress feels invisible. Personally, journaling has helped me anchor these lessons. Reflecting on what God has entrusted to me helps me recommit daily. It reshapes my mindset to embrace grace rather than guilt. Faith is a continuous choice—a mustard seed planted anew each day. If you find yourself discouraged today, remember: it’s okay to return from a place of imperfection. Your faith journey is uniquely yours, and each act of obedience matters. Take care of what you’ve been given, whether it’s your family, talents, or dreams. God is working behind the scenes, cultivating a harvest beyond what you see. Keep choosing faith, one mustard seed at a time.
