Jamaican Patty meets one of its Ancestors

The first time I tried Ethiopian food, I thought:

This reminds me of Jamaican food with a little Indian spice influence and a lot of spices and pepper!

Bold flavors. Slow-cooked stews. Food meant to be shared.

So of course I had to experiment.

On this plate:

• Injera

• Sega wat

• Misir wat

• Jamaican spinach patty filling

• Jamaican beef patty filling

• Avocado tomato salad with chopped beef patty

Scooping it all up with injera and patty crust.

Two incredible food cultures. One delicious experiment.

And this is just the beginning.
