Sin Didn’t Start On Earth

Let’s talk about something real.

If heaven was perfect, how could sin exist there?

We often think sin started with Adam and Eve, but the truth? Sin started in heaven. Lucifer, once a glorious angel, chose rebellion. And that’s the key—choice.

God didn’t create robots; He gave both angels and humans free will because love isn’t love without choice. Lucifer wasn’t made evil—he became evil when he rejected God’s authority. Pride took root, and sin was born.

So why did God allow it? Because love requires free will. But before sin even existed, God had already planned redemption. Revelation 13:8 calls Jesus “the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.” Before Lucifer fell, before Adam sinned—God had already made a way.

Sin had a beginning, and it will have an end. The war that started in heaven is still happening here. And just like Lucifer, we all have a choice:

Will we submit to God or try to be our own gods?
