A helpful step is to set clear boundaries and observe how others respond—those who respect your limits contribute positively, while toxic individuals often challenge or ignore them. Another important point is to trust your instincts. If a relationship consistently makes you feel uneasy or exhausted, it’s a sign to re-evaluate its place in your life. The quote, “Once I realize you are toxic, that’s how I’ll exit your life,” resonates deeply. It embodies the empowerment that comes with self-awareness and the courage to protect your mental health.
