Week 2
I want to keep track of my starter loc progress so I can see the growth,
I’m currently having a hard time just allowing my hair be out in this state because to me it still looks weird so I tend to keep it in a ponytail which I know is probably not good but next week I’m going to attempt to force myself to keep my hair out all week so I can adjust myself into liking it.
If anyone has any tips on starter locs pleaseeee let me know I’m all ears right now
Starter locs can be both exciting and daunting. As you begin your journey, it's important to understand that the initial stages might feel awkward, but this is completely normal. To help manage the transition, consider using protective styles occasionally to minimize tension on your scalp. Remember, keeping your locs moisturized and clean can enhance their growth. Community support is vital, so don't hesitate to seek advice from experienced loc wearers. Forums and social media groups focusing on loc maintenance can be invaluable resources. Engaging with others can provide you insight into the best products, routines, and support as you embrace your natural hair journey. Whether you’re just starting out or are further down the path, remember that progress takes time and patience. Additionally, embracing your natural texture is a key part of the process. Finding styles that make you feel confident will help you love each stage of your locs. Lastly, documenting your progress not only tracks growth but also celebrates every little milestone, so keep sharing your journey!
