truth about weight loss as someone with pcos

DOWN HERE ⬇️

i stopped trying to force my body into weight loss and started giving it what it actually needed… and shocker, it finally started responding.

lifting 5 days a week wasn’t working.

tracking every gram wasn’t working.

normally cardio wasn’t working.

nothing was moving because my inflammation was so high and my hormones were stressed out.

so here’s exactly what i’m doing as someone who struggled with weightloss for years. and doing this all WITHOUT starving, tracking or spending hours in the gym:

✨ volume eating

not tiny portions. my plates are BIG. nothing is cut out cause babes i LOVE pasta. i just eat for volume at every meal.

✨ fueling in the morning

protein + fiber at every meal. keeps me full with minimal crashing midday

✨ low-impact movement

i’m a millennial and the knees aren’t what they used to be 🥲. i need low impact everything.

✨ strength training 2-3x a week

full body. upper and lower days. short. simple. enough to build and hold muscle without wrecking my adrenals.

✨ stress reduction

sleep. hydration. slowing down. proper recovery daily.

i started testing this structure in october, and november is my “prove it” month.

i went from down 4lbs in less than a week. you tell me if it’s working?

this is the foundation of the shift! and i’m sharing it real time to show you it works.

when you’re tired of being stuck, tired of guessing, and tired of doing “all the right things” with no results… this is your sign to try something different.

comment SHIFT and i’ll add you to the email list so you get the program at the lowest price when it drops.

... Read moreLiving with PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome) often means facing unique challenges when it comes to weight loss. Many people with PCOS experience hormonal imbalances and chronic inflammation, which can hinder their ability to lose weight despite various efforts. Understanding these underlying factors is key to creating a sustainable and effective approach to weight management. One crucial aspect is managing inflammation, which can slow metabolism and increase insulin resistance. Incorporating anti-inflammatory foods such as leafy greens, berries, nuts, fatty fish, and spices like turmeric can help reduce this inflammation. On the flip side, minimizing processed foods, refined sugars, and excessive caffeine may prevent further hormonal disruption. Volume eating, as mentioned, is a great strategy for those with PCOS who struggle with feeling deprived. This method involves focusing on nutrient-dense, high-fiber foods that allow generous portion sizes without excess calories, helping with satiety and blood sugar control. For example, loading your plate with vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins can keep you full and satisfied. Low-impact exercise is another vital component for sustaining physical activity without adding stress to joints or the adrenal system, which are often sensitive with PCOS. Activities like walking, swimming, yoga, or cycling can improve insulin sensitivity and aid weight management. Additionally, incorporating strength training 2-3 times a week helps build muscle mass, which boosts metabolism and supports hormonal balance. Stress reduction is often overlooked but is essential for those with PCOS. Chronic stress elevates cortisol levels, which can increase fat storage, especially around the abdomen. Prioritizing good sleep hygiene, adequate hydration, mindfulness techniques like meditation or deep breathing, and allowing time for recovery are powerful tools to lower stress and support weight loss. Ultimately, the key to success is being kind to your body and listening to its needs instead of forcing extreme diets or workouts. PCOS requires a tailored approach that accommodates inflammation, hormonal fluctuations, and energy levels. Many find that moving away from calorie counting and focusing on whole foods, balanced meals, manageable exercise, and stress management results in gradual, consistent progress. If you’re tired of traditional advice that doesn’t work for PCOS, trying these holistic strategies can offer a new path forward. Remember, weight loss with PCOS is often about creating sustainable habits that enhance overall health, rather than rapid or restrictive measures. With patience and persistence, the body can respond positively and regain balance.
